Bobby Crowder Obituary

In Loving Memory of
Bobby Gene Crowder
March 7, 1935 – October 20, 2025

Bobby Gene Crowder was born on March 7, 1935, in Tom’s Creek, Virginia, to Pearl and William Crowder. He left this earth to go home to God on October 20, 2025, at the age of 90. One of five children, Bobby grew up surrounded by faith, family, and a deep sense of purpose that shaped the man he became.

In the 1950s and 60s, Bobby proudly served his country as a Specialist 4th Class in the United States Army Reserves. He later served as a supervisor for the federal government. His dedication to service reflected his lifelong values of honor, humility, and perseverance.

He married the love of his life, Mary Perko, and together they built a strong and loving family. They were blessed with their son, Russell Boyd Crowder, who carried forward Bobby’s quiet strength and steadfast heart.

Bobby’s lived his faith with sincerity and grace, touching the lives of all who knew him. A man of integrity and community spirit who lovingly adopted his neighbors as family, he was a proud Odd Fellow, a member of the Freemasons , and a skilled accountant who approached every task with care and commitment.

Above all, Bobby’s greatest joy was his family. He adored his wife Mary, their son Russell, his granddaughters Jennifer, Kimberly, Amy, and Natalie, and his five great-grandchildren. To them, he was lovingly known as “Genie Bob,” a name that carried warmth and laughter. His love for his family was beyond measure—steady, faithful, and everlasting.

Bobby Gene Crowder’s legacy is one of faith, love, and devotion. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to be part of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have memorial contributions in his memory to the Grand Lodge Independent Order of Odd Fellows, 7721 Old Battle Grove Road, Dundalk, MD 21222.
