     On October 8, 2018, Christopher Joseph Laufert, beloved son of Amy Bocklage and her husband, Mike, and Peter Laufert, devoted brother of Devin Bocklage and Amanda Bocklage-Heiser, loving grandson of Floyd Huddleston and the late Donna Shifflett, and grandson of Robert and Mary Laufert, cherished nephew of Beth Malloy and her husband, Randy and Debbie Goodman and her husband, Mike. He is also survived by his best friend and nephew, Landon Gubbels (Bubba). He was predeceased by his uncle and sidekick, Jimi Huddleston, as well as a host of other loving family members. Chris was a lover of music; his go to place for serenity. He was avid about his guitar. He enjoyed using his hands fixing cars and keeping himself occupied doing construction and carpentry work.

      The family will receive guests on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 3-5 & 7 -9 p.m. at the funeral home, where funeral services are planned for 8 p.m. Interment is private. The family has requested that guests honor his memory by wearing something in his favorite color of green, and dress casually. In lieu of flowers, the familly has requested that those desiring make donations to to help support his nephew, Landon Gubbels.
