Clara (Kordistos) Cornias

CORNIAS, CLARA

     On October 27, 2025, Clara Cornias (nee Kordistos), born in Monessen, PA on August 22, 1930, She was the daughter of the late Peter and Rozella Pikounis Kordistos. She was predeceased by her husband Tony Cornias and her son, Nicholas Cornias. She was also predeceased by her 2 brothers, Jim and Gus Kordistos and a late sister, Mary Kordistos Elenitsas. She is survived by her sister, Christina Kordistos Horvath, her daughter, Dina Tsakalas and her husband, Steve, her granddaughter, Stephanie and her husband, Sotirios, her grandson, Anthony, and her 3 great-grandchildren, Sofia, George and Steven. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was an active member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, St. Nicholas Ladies of the Philoptochos, and she enjoyed volunteering at the St. Nicholas Greek Festival.

    The family will receive guests on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10:30 - 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 South Ponca Street, Baltimore, MD 21224, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Please omit flowers. The family wishes that donations be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in her memory.
