James Edward (Bud) Harris III passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2022, in Ellicott City, MD. Bud was born on May 3, 1958, in Charleston, S.C. Spending his childhood by the water, he had a love for the ocean. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends. But above all, Bud loved being a dad. Known for "staying golden" and "flying straight," Bud never failed to project his love and care for others. Friends, family, neighbors and acquaintances can all agree that he was one-of-a-kind. Bud loved his daughter Tess more than anything in the world, and he worked to build a very special neighborhood community in Ellicott City, where he raised her. Bud was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth M. Kalinowski Harris and is survived by his daughter Tess and several other family members. His loving memories, as well as his family and friends, will carry his legacy forever. Services will be held at the Bradley Ashton Kehl Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
