On January 9th, 2026, Mary J. Kratz, 70, of Dundalk MD, passed away at Stella Maris Hospice from
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was the proud daughter of the late Charles C. and Elizabeth

Michael, great niece Caitlin Kratz, and great nephews Kyle Cooke, Cameron Cooke, and Brandon

Mary graduated from Patapsco High School in 1973. She worked at McCormick in Hunt Valley
performing various jobs, mostly at the spice mill. She enjoyed her family, attending all functions, and
spoiling her nieces and nephews as well as her great niece and great nephews. She enjoyed gardening and
music of all kinds and was passionate about her sports never missing the Ravens and Orioles. She loved
eating steamed crabs and raw oysters, and everyone looked forward to her signature crab dip! She
enjoyed gambling, and loved playing lottery scratch-offs. Annual trips to Atlantic City were highlights,
and when Maryland opened up casinos, her favorite spot was Arundel Mills. She loved animals,
especially her dogs Chrissy, Bear, Sadie, Tucker and Nala, who were her world. She treated her family
and friends with immense generosity.
