FANTIS, PENELOPE
On December 4, 2025, Penelope Fantis passed away very peacefully at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Campus, while surrounded by her cherished family at her side. She is the beloved wife of the late George S. Fantis, the loving mother of Stergos Fantis and his wife, Kalliopi, the devoted mother of Maria Kaikis and her husband Clemis, she is the devoted Yia Yia of Drs. Andreas Kaikis and his wife, Alexandra, Penelope Minadakis and her husband, John, Flora Mastrovasilis and her husband, John, and Penelope Sakellis and her husband, George, dearest Great-Yia Yia of Clemy, Maria, Kalliopi, Gabriella, Nicoletta, Melina, and Amalia. She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Apostolos and Maria Roditis. She is also survived by her siblings, Elefteria and Hariklia, and the late Theodore and the late John Roditis, as well as many other loving family and friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 South Ponca Street, Baltimore, MD 21224, where a funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in her memory to either St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church or the St. Paraskevi Society.
